Americanism And Christianity

Americanism And Christianity

Floating Aimlessly down the River of Liberal Change

On December 20, 1606, three ships, the Susan Constant, the Godspeed, and the Discovery, left Blackwall, England to establish a colony in the Virginia Colony in the New World. The three ships carried 104 men and boys and 39 crew-members. Unknowing to these first settlers of the Virginia Colony, they would be the first of thirteen colonies that would eventually settle on the eastern seaboard of North America. Also, these thirteen colonies would eventually become the first thirteen states in the greatest nation of the world.

The Susan Constant, the Godspeed, and the Discovery finally landed in the Virginia Colony, near the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay, in late April 1607. On April 26, 1607, the new settlers stepped foot on Cape Henry, the southern cape named for Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales. Immediately, Chaplain Robert Hunt had a wooden cross placed on the beach shore and offered a prayer of praise and thanksgiving. Therefore, it was obvious that the foundation for the new English settlement would be a foundation of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving to the Lord God Jehovah and His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. As a result, from day one, those who would be indirectly responsible for the creation of the United States of America brought their Judeo-Christian moral and value system with them. Ultimately, with their Judeo-Christian moral and value system as their guide, the myriad of colonists that settled in the thirteen colonies accepted a way of life that would insure the success of the future nation that they would lay the groundwork for, the United States of America. As a result, the morals and values of the early colonists in America have been handed down for many centuries and have become an integral part of the American way of life and its virtues of Americanism.

But, what are the virtues of Americanism? According to Theodore Roosevelt, the virtues of Americanism are “courage, honor, justice, truth, sincerity, and hardihood.” But, what do these virtues mean? “Courage” means “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.” “Honor” means “high respect and esteem.” “Justice” means “just behavior or treatment.” “Truth” means “that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.” “Sincerity” means “the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.” Finally, “hardihood” means “resolute and self-assured audacity.” Of course, these virtues describe the early settlers and the Founding Fathers, who were fearless, highly respected, treated people fairly, told the truth, were not deceitful, and were resolute to the end. As a result, the early settlers and the Founding Fathers would have to overcome many obstacles that would have prevented the United States from being established not only as a nation, but the greatest nation in the world. Some of these obstacles were wars that were fought in the United States, namely the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. Other obstacles included the writing of the greatest Constitution in the world, along with its Bill of Rights, and fighting and winning the Spanish-American War, World War I, and World War II (the last war won by the United States). However, with the virtues of Americanism as their guide, America’s settlers, Founding Fathers, military leaders, and political statesmen were able to overcome the aforementioned obstacles and lead America into the 21st Century.

Unfortunately, though, many of America’s 21st Century leaders, whether in the public arena, in the school arena, or in the church arena or at the federal, state, or local level, do not possess the same virtues of Americanism as did America’s Founding Fathers, such as George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Sadly, many politicians possess the antithesis of the virtues of Americanism. As a result, Americans look at their politicians as fainthearted men and women who dishonor the very position that they were entrusted with by those who elected them to public office. Also, America’s politicians are considered to be untrustworthy, unfair, and weak as they misrepresent the truth to the American people who look to them for guidance during some of the most serious times in American history, even more serious than the Revolutionary War years and the instituting of a new Constitutional Republic government. Therefore, America’s postmodern leaders are responsible for permitting Americanism and Christianity to float aimlessly down the river of liberal change.

Ultimately, then, what is the river of liberal change? The river of liberal change is the debasing of America’s foundational government and moral system. Of course, this debasing focuses on the ideas of change initiated by and incorporated in America by the Democratic Party and President Barack Hussein Obama, their executive leader.

These liberal changes are part of a progressive agenda orchestrated by politicians who do not have the virtues of Americanism. As a result, they do not have the best interest of the United States at heart. Their main goals are to specifically destroy the influence of Christianity and its system of morals and values. They are striving to muffle America’s spirit of patriotism, while, at the same time, dismantle the rule of law contained in the greatest constitution ever written by mankind. They are striving to create open borders that would flood the nation with illegal immigrants who would pad the Democratic Party’s voting base, which could give the Democratic Party control of the White House and Congress for years to come. They are striving to create a godless society where abortion and all forms of sexual immorality become the norm. They are striving to embrace the religion of their enemies, instead of the foundational religion of America, Christianity. They also are striving to create a secular humanist, socialist, society that would demand all Americans to pledge their allegiance to the United States government, work for the betterment of the government rather than for maintaining individual families, and ultimately demand that all citizens bow down and worship it.

In fact, there is a true story in the Bible, a book that many politicians seemingly know very little about its contents, which would relate to America’s dilemma today. The story is recorded in Daniel 3:1-7. It reads,

1. Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

2. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3. Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

4. Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

5. That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

6. And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

7. Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Therefore, as is inferred by these scriptures, the pride of Nebuchadnezzar made him put the secular humanist worship of man as a god ahead of the worship of the True and Living God, the Lord God Jehovah. As a result, if the progressive, left agenda, which is perpetuated mostly by members of the Democratic Party, continues to float aimlessly down the river of liberal change, America might eventually be taken over from inside the nation, instead of by a barbarian invasion from outside its borders. Of course, this should be expected from politicians who seek their own self-interest instead of the nation that they were elected or appointed to represent faithfully by taking an oath to defend the very Constitution that they are attempting to dismantle.
Ultimately, those politicians who attempt to rule America without the virtues of Americanism, without the guidance of God the Father, and who attempt to create a godless, “anything goes” society that undermines the intent of the Founding Fathers are destined to face their own Battle of Waterloo, just as Napoleon Bonaparte, the tyrannical rule of France, did in June 1815.

During this battle, a prideful Napoleon and his army were crushed by the Duke of Wellington, a tactical British general. Also, King Nebuchadnezzar was punished by God for his pride, too. In Daniel 4:30, Nebuchadnezzar bragged about what he had done in Babylon. It reads, “The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?” Then, in Daniel 4:33, the vision in which God told Nebuchadnezzar what would happen to him for his pride was fulfilled. It reads, “The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.” Therefore, just like God punished these two men, He might just punish politicians and other American leaders who permit pride and tyranny to guide them. In fact, in Proverbs 16:18, it reads, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

In conclusion, what type decisions do politicians who do not have the virtues of Americanism and a Christian faith base make? Basically, men and women that make legislative, executive, and judicial decisions promote the concept of politician correctness in order not to offend the minority. In reality, America’s leaders who promote the minority over the majority have lost their minds, just like Nebuchadnezzar lost his mind when he put his prideful abilities ahead of God’s guidance, as so many of America’s leaders do today. This is the reason why Democratically-controlled, liberal executive branch, the liberal federal courts system, and the liberals in Congress work diligently to insure that liberal, anti-Christian minorities win out over majority conservative Christians. Of course, their purpose is to deny them their constitutional rights to worship as they please in America and to follow the dictates of their religious belief system. Therefore, Christians are fighting a daily battle in their effort to insure that they do not lose their religious freedom as a result of the liberal politicians who bow down and worship the golden image of political correctness. The homage paid by liberals to their god of political correctness is just their way of justifying sin in the godless nation they aspire to create in America, a nation originally founded on godly principles which the Founding Fathers (True Statesmen) incorporated into the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

P.S. The word “Champion” is synonymous with the word “Americanism.” There are several virtues of “Champion” that relate to America’s leaders today. According to T. McDowell, a private, Christian High School principal, “Champions” are not afraid, they don’t walk away from adversity, they are not easily intimidated, they speak faith and not fear, they step up even when no one else does, they do not accept negativity, and, more importantly, they trust in, recognize, and rely on God. Of course, the lack of this virtue of “trusting in, recognizing, and relying on God” is the main reason that America is in the mess that it is in. Without God and the His Holy Spirit guiding America’s leaders, there is no hope for them to make wise decisions so that they could continue to insure that America keeps its Constitutional Republic and the myriad of freedoms that go along with it. Therefore, America’s leaders must regain their right mind, just like King Nebuchadnezzar did in Daniel 4:34, which reads, “And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that liveth forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.”

Finally, if America’s leaders fail to return to God and live by the virtues of Americanism and the Judeo-Christian moral system adopted by the Founding Fathers, America will continue to float down the river of liberal change, which, of course, is the most dangerous river in the world. But, why is the river of liberal change the most dangerous river in the world? It is the most dangerous river in the world because those who support political correctness praise those who do bad things as if they were good and rebuke those who do good things as if they were bad.

However, those who support political correctness should realize that their actions offend God, which politicians at every level of government should be more concerned about than the secular humanist in the United States. In fact, as stated in Proverbs 17:13, God through King Solomon said, “Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.” Also, in Proverbs 17:15, it reads, “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the Lord.” Therefore, all of America’s leaders should, as stated in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” and ultimately destroy the golden image of political correctness.

  1. Religion and State Inseparable…

Society is created by the religion/doctrine of the people. It is religion that defines the values of a nation. It is a myth that there can be religious freedom in a nation for religion or doctrine creates community values which direct the police powers of the state or nation. The question is whose religion, whose values, will control public authority? Additionally, when one religion is overcome by another religion, for example, as the Christian religion is overcome by the religion of atheism in America, the police powers of the state or nation changes direction.
George Washington called government a machine. This machine is the most dangerous instrument in the human community, a machine guided by community values. A machine that determines life and death, liberty or imprisonment, property and taxation, the definition of marriage, fines and penalties, and citizen’s rights and obligations.
It is the duty of patriotic Americans to uphold Christian values in the public square in order to secure the right direction of the police powers of the nation and state. It is a sacred duty to uphold the Sabbath, a weekly public assembly, for reviewing the laws and of land and magistrates who execute them in order to control the machine called government.
Again, religion cannot be removed from government. Some religion, some doctrine, some value system, some opinion will guide the law making process which forms society. The question is whose opinion, whose doctrine, whose religion will control the formation of laws which shapes society. Separation of church and state is the marketing banner for changing the religion and values of the American culture from Christian to secular. Secularism is a deadly insurrection against Christian values and is actively undermining morality in America by removing the restraints of God’s law from society – from the law making process. Under the banner of ‘separation of church and state’ school children can no longer offer a moment of silence to God but must offer a moment of silence in support of the gay community. Under this banner, children in public education cannot look upon a display of the Ten Commandments but can look upon Common Core’s pornographic sex educational manuals. By the removal of God’s law, America’s traditional definition of marriage between one man and one women is corrupted into the right of homosexual unions, polygamy, and cross generational sex. By the removal of God’s law, an infant in the womb is a victim of brutal dismemberment; an American holocaust. Restoring Christian values is a must which means Christ and State is a must. America’s revolutionary war slogan “No King but King Jesus” is nothing less than a declaration that Jesus is to rule in America’s civil government.
The American Founders did not support freedom of religion; they supported liberty of conscious. Liberty of conscious is a principle that no one can dictate the faith and belief of another by law but this is not the same as freedom of religion. The early state constitutions in America required a belief in one doctrine, a belief in the Bible, God, and Jesus in order to gain access into public office, a sensible gate at the door of dangerous institution which is directed by community values created by religion.
    Constitution of Massachusetts 1780
Article I. Any person chosen governor, lieutenant-governor, councillor, senator, or representative, and accepting the trust, shall, before he proceed to execute the duties of his place or office, make and subscribe the following declaration, viz:
“I, A.B., do declare that I believe the Christian religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth; and that I am seized and possessed, in my own right, of the property required by the constitution, as one qualification for the office or place to which I am elected.”
US Supreme Court: “If we examine the constitutions of the various states, we find in them a constant recognition of religious obligations. Every Constitution of every one of the forty-four states contains language which, either directly or by clear implication, recognizes a profound reverence for religion, and an assumption that its influence in all human affairs is essential to the wellbeing of the community. This recognition may be in the preamble, such as is found in the Constitution of Illinois, 1870:
“We, the people of the State of Illinois, grateful to Almighty God for the civil, political, and religious liberty which He hath so long permitted us to enjoy, and looking to Him for a blessing upon our endeavors to secure and transmit the same unimpaired to succeeding generations,” Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States 143 U.S. 457 (1892)
