Rev. Graham Pulls Billy Graham Group’s Bank Accounts From Wells Fargo For Its Pro-Gay Agenda, Promotion of ‘Sin’

In action against the “tide of moral decay” being pushed across America by “big business, the media, and the gay and lesbian community,” Rev. Franklin Graham had the bank accounts of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) — a $295.4 million organization — pulled from Wells Fargo and placed in a different bank, noting that Wells Fargo was using a homosexual couple in its advertising and adding, “we don’t have to do business with them.”

Reverend Graham, son of world-renowned pastor Billy Graham, also criticized the jewelry business Tiffany’s “for advertising wedding rings for gay couples,” and urged Christians to speak out and “stop doing business with those who promote sin and stand against Almighty God’s laws and His standards.”

“Have you ever asked yourself — how can we fight the tide of moral decay that is being crammed down our throats by big business, the media, and the gay & lesbian community?” said Rev. Graham in a June 5 post on Facebook. “Every day it is something else!”

“Tiffany’s started advertising wedding rings for gay couples,” he said. “Wells Fargo bank is using a same-sex couple in their advertising. And there are more.”

“But it has dawned on me that we don’t have to do business with them,” the reverend continued. “At the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, we are moving our accounts from Wells Fargo to another bank. And guess what—we don’t have to shop at Tiffany & Co., there are plenty of other jewelry stores.”

“This is one way we as Christians can speak out — we have the power of choice,” said Franklin Graham, who also runs the internaitonal Christian relief group Samaritan’s Purse.

“Let’s just stop doing business with those who promote sin and stand against Almighty God’s laws and His standards,” he said. “Maybe if enough of us do this, it will get their attention.”

According to the financial statements of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Consolidated Organizations, for the year ended December 31, 2014, the group had total net assets of $295,359,688 and total liabilities of $75,991,339. Its total liabilites and net assets for 2014 were reported to be $371,351,027. According to the 2013 Form 990 of the BGEA, Rev. Franklin Graham, the president and CEO, earned an annual salary of $205,919, and the BGEA employed 959 people.

In a new TV commercial, the San Francisco-based Wells Fargo promotes a lesbian couple and their adoption of a young girl who is deaf. In its advertising, Tiffany & Co. is using gay couples to promote the sale of its wedding rings.
